- cad - What is the difference between STL and OBJ files and which one . . .
OBJ support colour, but let me state it again: it has not been designed for manufacturing and lack flexibility and features For what I can see all people who have multi-material printers prefer the AMF format (which stands for "Additive Manufacturing Format", so specific for 3D printers) $\endgroup$
- OBJ in a Dashed Box Showing Up in Place of Text
I've been seeing this a lot lately, particularly on Facebook It's the letters OBJ enclosed in a dashed box, which I assume is a Unicode placeholder for an emoticon that can't be parsed At first, I thought maybe it was a Chrome or Linux thing, but I'm seeing them on Chrome on Linux, Firefox on Linux, Chrome on Windows, and Chrome on Android
- Importing Surface Colours along with . obj files in Fusion 360
I exported the 3D model from DroneDeploy as a obj file and can view the model very well using Preview on my MacBook However, when I import this obj file to Fusion 360 or any other online viewing platform, I am unable to see any of the colours from the model How do I import this file into Fusion 360 along with all the surface colours?
- Slicing adds holes cracks to my object - 3D Printing Stack Exchange
here is just a addenum to Tom van der Zanden's answer this is (an example of) what you may design - nice object with virtual outline, and virtual fill so this is what you see (and what you potentially expect)
- Does moving the z-endstop upwards affect the maximum height of the . . .
As moving the endstop upwards reduces the range of the z-axis, I was wondering whether it reduces the maximum height of the printable object, by the distance the endstop was moved Or is this someh
- How do I compress 3D files - 3D Printing Stack Exchange
OBJ OBJ was invented by Wavefront as a means of storing 3D information It stores the data as plain text by storing vertices, to which they connect and what texture is on surfaces spun up by the vertices In comparison to STL, they can be bigger if they include surface information Programs that can't do STL usually support OBJ Slicers take
- How to convert . obj file to . stl so I can slice to G-code?
One can import an OBJ file into free program Meshmixer, then export it to STL format There are other programs that are free and paid (such as Fusion 360) that will perform similar tasks As noted by user agarza, Prusa Slicer will import an OBJ and will also export to STL format PrusaSlicer is also free
- Does anyone know how Slic3r determines its infill adjacent strand . . .
private: static float _bridge_width(float nozzle_diameter, float bridge_flow_ratio); Calculate a relatively sane extrusion width, based on height and nozzle diameter Algorithm used does not play nice with layer heights < 0 1mm
- Land holdings and group deeds | VirtualVerse One Forums
The parcel now says it's group owned and, according to My Mainland on my dashboard, I don't own any parcels Does that mean I've given it away to the group and can't get it back? The parcel is 1536 sqm, but the donation to the group is 1397 sqm Whu? My Land Use Fees says: Square meters donated: 1397 Premium Bonus in Square Meters: 1024
- reprap - Dual extruder does support secondary extruder stay hot during . . .
Is Cura set-up to begin heating the stand-by extruder once the printer starts on a layer requiring the secondary extruder? $\endgroup$ – Feynman137 Commented Jun 12, 2021 at 18:07
