I have experience with alot expensive " audiophile" headphones from AKG So when i first got the Sony Xm4, i feel discontent, probably because they sound really bad out of the box

Personally, I am not comfortable ever buying headphones that can fold into a compact size like XM5, so for me, those are out of question, and regardless of price, the overall features on XM4 far outweigh the overall features on XM5 for my personal preferences, so maybe check which features you prefer

The XM4 headphones will always be a classic that’s worth it, especially if you can get’em on the cheap But, if you were asking the same question about the XM5’s, I’d probably tell you to hold off a little bit longer, especially considering the price point will probably be close to what the New XM6’s will sell for Reply reply Warning

Hi everyone, I bought a pair of Sony XM4s at launch last year and loved them to death However, after 6 months the headphones starting making EXTREMELY loud noises after about 15 minutes of use and now they are unusable The "feedback noise" starts quietly, like an echo or a whirring noise, like putting your ear next to a seashell Then after a minute or two, the noise turns into a loud squeal
