I solved it by manually downloading and installing the VirtualBox Extension Pack version 7 2 2 Apparently the automatic update didn't update the extension pack, and there was a conflict with the older Extension Pack that I had previously installed

Thank you for this solution I had this issue and didn't know how to resolve it I uninstalled VBox 7 1 4 Then I installed Vbox 7 1 6 I was having issues everytime I installed Vbox while it was already installed Uninstalling it first, then installing is what fixed my prior issues If I were to reboot my host, is that service supposed to be started at startup I wonder?

VirtualBox 7 1 12 supports new CPU features, and on some (especially medium old Intel CPUs) this didn't work A test build with the fix should be available in the next days

So VirtualBox only can be installed into paths where only Administrators or system accounts have the ability to do so Quite smart, one of the ONLY program ever made which have such paranoid requirement, and what do we gain for this ? Annoyance and wasted time, thank you guys, really, such improvements are so great and enjoyable !
