- What is in your opinion the best house you can buy in oblivion . . . - Reddit
I've played Oblivion through a few times now and my favorite of all the houses is the Anvil mansion All the architecture in Anvil has an old school Italy kind of vibe with the red scaled rooftops The house has a very cool layout From the fireplace, to the upstairs bedroom study with a balcony that overlooks the ground level, this place has

The only difference between the two editions is the extra 2 armours, 2 horse armours, and a few weapons which you can get from a few quests ingame Also the Deluxe includes a book and the soundtrack, the latter of which you'll probably already own if you have the original Oblivion game

It's not necessarily in a remote location, but it is in a spot that is decently far from the city center and does not have neighboring houses It's also one of the best deals you can get in the game Pretty much all of the others are located around other houses, and the ones of similar quality are much more expensive

Definitely the most bang for your buck! Easy to get to from two of three main gates in Anvil Lots of great loot farming around the area Decent shops in town I have tried the other houses but always end up back in Anvil
- Can i safely place items in houses? (Not talking about containers)
Yuuup! That's one thing I love about Oblivion 1 The ease at which you can move items around with decent precision 2 The ability to totally decorate my house with all my crap I'm not sure if it works in the DLC houses though But in all my other houses, I have stuff set up everywhere Bowls filled with jewels, books in bookcases, etc

That's a thread from 10 years ago about the original game This is the remaster and you can't trust that the programming is the same when they moved it to the new game engine
