Memtest86 checks strictly RAM hardware in detail, while the other ones checks for RAM interaction with rest of system including memory handling in OS You can have perfectly good RAM as attested by memtest86 but it doesn't check for IMC (Internal Memory Controller) which is in CPU, module compatibility with BIOS or between 2 or more modules

Old question but anyway: A server board should log soft and hard ECC errors into its hardware log (hard errors would also display in memtest86) You should be able to check the log after a test period either through the BIOS menu or using additional system tools provided by the board vendor Another option would be to temporarily disable ECC while running memtest
