Spotting Hysterectomy Recovery (post hysterectomy) I, too, am spotting, but it is bright red blood and I am 4 weeks post-op (almost) I had spotting like you described until a few days ago and then it started turning red again I called the gyn on call at the hospital and they said it was stitches dissolving But it hasn't gotten better over the weekend, so I've put in a call to my dr this
