- Stihl Ignition Module Air Gap. . . - Arborist, Chainsaw Tree Work Forum
Next, the shop manual says to remove the setting gage, and measure the resulting air gap which is 0 008" - 0 012" Sounds easy enough Here's the problem, the stihl setting gage seems to set the air gap too tight, like 0 004" measured between the ignition module arms and the flywheel magnets using a feeler gage set
- AC Delco R45TS gap out of the box - Team Chevelle
Test engine was a 253 Cu in V6 Stock ign, 045 plug gap, it made 168 hp With Platinum plugs, same 045 gap, it made 171 hp Split Fire plugs, same 171 HP With surface gap plugs, 172 5 hp Then Jacobs installed one of his ign systems With same stock plugs, same 045 gap, hp increased to 180 5 With three specialty plugs, hp dropped 1 5-2hp
- Real world HEI spark plug gaps - Team Chevelle
If yu still see a specification for an incorrect giant spark plug gap for an HEi for any of the HEI's, DROP THE GAP DOWN TO THE PROPER SPECIFICATION OF 045 MAXIMUM All this was done in the divisions that designed the HEI, here in America, NOT some place in the middle of the Gobi Desert, nor Antarctica, nor the moon, but, here in The United
- Torque Converter to Flywheel Clearance - Team Chevelle
TH350 Stock converter to a BluePrint 350 w BP Flexplate (new) I have done the research and just wanted to confirm what I have read online with the knowledge base here When I go to bolt the TC and the flywheel together, there is a gap of 210 as measured with feeler gauges (see pic below)
- Spark Plug Gap - BBC - Team Camaro Tech
Things that determine resistance is the plug wire conductor (metal conducts better than carbon impregnated fiberglass strands), the spark gap, and the resistance in the plug (the R in the designation of an AC-delco plug denotes an internal air gap to prevent power from bleeding off too soon)
- Poulan Ignition Module Gap - Arborist, Chainsaw Tree Work Forum
Gap is about the same as matchbook cover Wild things have a checkered past since most owners go wild trying to keep them running after a few years of use With spark trouble besides the coil check the flywheel, most of these had a built in key way cut into the flywheel that loosens up over time and throws the timing out
- Performer VS Performer RPM, and a few other questions
the rpm is more of a mid-range intake doesn't really lose any bottomend to the performer, but it makes more power from 3500rpms or so on up with the cam you mentioned the performer would be good enough, but i'd still recommend getting the RPM instead, just in case you want a little more performance later on down the road the RPM or Air-Gap RPM are the only intakes that i run on anything
- Homelite 150 Auto-points adjustment - Arborist, Chainsaw Tree Work Forum
I do have a parts saw with a set of points that are in one piece, this assembly allows easy point gap adjustment Unfortunately the rub block brass pivot pin is integral to the point assembly My saw’s steel rub block pivot pin is pressed into the engine block So these two assemblies can’t be interchanged unless I can somehow get the steel
