I have just replicated your issue It looks like when you use the export file it creates a file - filename gcode 3mf when you load this file it takes you to the preview page and any changes you make erases the model If you do the same on a saved project and click on the model in the top left corner of the preview window it re slices and everything is as normal I suggest you save the project
