If you're unfamiliar or uncomfortable with linear algebra, I'd recommend taking 308 before, or alongside, AMATH 301 Since MATH 126 is a prerequisite for 308, this means that you'll have to postpone AMATH 301 for at least one quarter and find something to replace it

I didn't major in AMATH but I did take a ton of the coursework (353, 401, 402, 569, 461, 462) and could answer any questions you have on them In general they are spectacularly interesting classes, especially the PDE ones

I'm taking the 33X sequence (and I took the 13X sequence last year), and I think they are very good I'm very sure that those are the best undergraduate math classes the UW has to offer, but please keep in mind that they are notoriously difficult

Statistics wise, AMATH should be the more difficult one for reasons already listed by others but ACMS doesn't really list a specific rate, just a vague ~100 400+
