- Which plywood is best for a record storage wall unit
One of these would be to use two 78" x 15" lengths of 3 4" plywood sandwiched together for the 4 inner verticals, for an overall thickness of 1 50", and use 3 4" plywood for the 4 outer verticals, and the top and bottom horizontal pieces I plan to cut dadoes in the verticals to support the 15" x 15" horizontal shelves

- Are dowels affective in plywood? - LumberJocks Woodworking Forum

Using a Kreg softwood plywood coarse thread self-tapping 1 1 2 inch screw, I fastened together two pieces of 3 4" baltic birch plywood butt jointed at 90 degrees to each other The side with the head of the screw touching it was predrilled halfway through the plywood because I was simultaneously testing a plug cutter
- Threaded inserts in plywood - LumberJocks Woodworking Forum
Threaded inserts, like many fasteners, come in hardwood and softwood versions Typically, this means a finer thread and a smaller mounting hole With that in mind, is plywood considered softwood or hard wood? My thinking is that plywood is less dense than say maple or cherry and so the softwood inserts would be more appropriate Thoughts?
